Chimney Swift Habitat II
Habitat II is a companion to Habitat I – a dark masonry tower of slightly larger massing - situated on the grounds of Scarboro Golf and Country Club. It is a replacement habitat for a chimney located nearly 2 kilometres away.
Habitat I was a success story, with inspectors confirming evidence of nesting by Chimney Swifts, and we are excited to see if the small gray birds enjoy a golf course setting as much as an urban school yard. Time, patience and observation will tell.
